1. About Us

Despair Chinese is a takeaway restaurant located at 47 Mare Street, Hackney, London E8 1HE. By placing an order through our website (despair.cc) you agree to these terms.

2. Ordering

All orders are subject to availability. Prices shown on the website are inclusive of VAT where applicable and may change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.

A minimum order value of £10 applies to delivery orders. Orders placed outside our opening hours will be prepared when we next open.

3. Payment

We accept card payments (simulated on this demo site) and cash on delivery or collection. Card details entered on this site are used for demonstration purposes only — no real payment is processed.

4. Delivery

We aim to deliver within 30–45 minutes of order confirmation. Delivery times are estimates and may vary during busy periods. A delivery charge of £2.50 applies to orders under £20 (free delivery over £20).

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Once an order has been confirmed and preparation has started, cancellations may not be possible. If you have a problem with your order, please contact us immediately at hello@despair.cc or call 020 7986 1234.

6. Allergens

Our food may contain or come into contact with allergens including gluten, nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, and shellfish. Please notify us of any allergies when placing your order. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

All content on this website including text, images, and branding is the property of Despair Chinese and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of any changes.
